With WiFi control for local or remote sensors, you can remotely control any electrical product.

With WiFi control for local or remote sensors, you can remotely control any electrical product.

What will you control with the WiFi Hub VegeHub?

The applications for the WiFi control center of VegeHub are unlimited.
Control anything from anywhere with the input of local or remote sensors. It can control water pumps, sprinkler systems, alarms, lights, heaters, fans and valves.
The WiFi control concentrator from VegeHub has all the functions of our 4-input WiFi concentrator with standard sensor with the addition of a high capacity 16A 250V relay, which can turn on or off almost any electrical device.
The relay can be controlled by configuring from the local sensor inputs or from an external web link, which you specify.
View your sensor data from any web browser on your phone or computer. Receive text messages and emails from sensor triggers.
In a matter of minutes, you can configure the VegHub and send data to common third-party websites, such as: VegeCloud, ThingSpeak and Adafruit.
Be creative with the way you use the WiFi control center. For example, you can monitor and control the water tanks for chickens with the AquaPlumb sensors, and get an alert when the water is going down. You can remotely control the humidity and soil temperature of your garden or greenhouse using the soil moisture sensors VH400 and the THERM200 soil temperature sensors.

Built-in security for your sensors

VegeHub uses TLS 1.2 SSL for secure Internet connections, allowing you to make secure HTTPS posts on servers. If you do not care about security, you can still publish using regular HTTP.

VegeHub comes with the most used website certificates, or with our certificate tool, you can install your own.

Designed for a long-lasting battery

One of our main design goals for the VegeHub was a long-lasting battery. We wanted you to be able to place this anywhere without worrying about power connections. Under normal conditions of use, the batteries will last more than a year.

We designed the concentrator with an efficient coupling relay. The energy is only consumed for 40 milliseconds when the interlock relay changes state. The rest of the time consumes zero energy, even when the relay is activated.
The concentrators come with a battery cable clip, suitable for standard 9V batteries. If you are using the power of an adapter, you can replace the clip with your own cables.

For extended durations, we recommend using a 9V AA battery pack with 6 AA batteries. We sell supports for 9V AA batteries. Use lithium batteries if the location cools.
You can configure the VegHub to send the battery voltage when it is updated to the server, so that you can control its level.
The useful life of the battery depends on its sampling frequency and the refresh rate. Most agricultural sensors change quite slowly, so a sampling frequency of once per hour is usually sufficient and will prolong the life of the battery.

Be sure not to put the batteries inside the box, as they are airtight, the batteries will release the acid from the gas because the heat corrodes the components.

Quick and easy configuration

You can configure the VegeHub and add it to your local WiFi network using a browser on your phone or PC.

Once you have connected it to your network, you can connect a USB drive and it will write your IP address to a file. This IP address allows you to configure it through its web interface.

To configure it, press a button, and it will become a mini web server in your network, and it will show configuration pages. Below are examples of configuration pages.

These pages allow you to select the site of the cloud to which you want the hub to report the data. Each channel can be configured independently with multiple options. For example, channels can be configured to sample data periodically or, they can be activated in an event. The heating time of the sensor is configurable, as well as the frequency with which the concentrator informs the server. If your sensor is just a button switch, you can set the channel to have riser or sink resistors. See the Quick Start Guide for step-by-step instructions.

Connect to common third-party sites

The VegeHub will connect with websites such as VegeCloud, ThingSpeak or io.Adafruit out of the box. These sites will graph your data and allow you to create actions, such as sending an email, when your sensor data has crossed a particular threshold.
We especially recommend: VegeCloud.com, which will store your data and allow you to visualize it with graphics, and allow you to set triggers in your data so you can receive text alerts and email messages, when your sensors have passed a threshold value.

If you want to publish on your own website, this is also possible, using our simple VegeHub API.

Rugged and waterproof for a long life in difficult conditions

You can put this box out in the rain or snow. The tough ABS plastic case has silicone rubber gaskets that make it waterproof. All cable entry points use cable sockets, so that no water or insects can enter.

The box has flanges and holes for screws to facilitate assembly, so you can place it anywhere.

Modular building blocks Vegetronix

Our product philosophy is simple. We provide low-cost modular building blocks to our customers, and then we allow them to create their own applications.

Be creative with our unique sensors, WiFi hubs, relay boards and create your own creations.

Do you also want to control things?

If you also want to control devices, not just monitor them, then take a look at our VegeHub WiFi controller hub. This has a powerful 16A relay that can activate pumps, valves, fans, heaters, alarms, etc. Your relay can receive inputs from up to 4 local sensors or from a remote web URL that you specify.
